When I (Andrea) was in high school, I painted characters on shot glasses for my friends.
College, life, and years later, my mom (Sandi) suggested that I start painting glassware again, but as a business.
A few paint experiments later I found a paint I could use on glass that would be dishwasher resistant (yahoo!).
I was living in Virginia at the time and it was expensive to visit home in California, so we made financing my visits home the primary goal for Moonbug's Makes.
Since 2012, we have grown into a fun business.
Moonbug's Makes has been in several art shows, gift shops, and galleries in the Hampton Roads area. Since my move back home to California (Yay!!),
Anime Convention Art Shows on both the East and West Coast have become our primary art show homes (for now?).
I am grateful to the experiences I've had with Moonbug's Makes including joining the Chesapeake Bay Art Association and co-chairing their gallery-setting CBAA Spring Art Show twice as well as assisting with the national Ocean View Art Show.
I continue to paint the glassware and my mom is now quite the wine charm beader. We love custom request orders. Moonbug's Makes continues to help
finance my travel, bills, and visit all the friends I've made while I lived on the East Coast! And for that, we thank you!!
